1. Speed Update
Effective July 2018, Google will penalize very slow websites in certain conditions. Although download speed will become a more important factor in determining your Search Engine rankings, some slower pages may still rank highly if their content is relevant.
2. Website Security
Effective July 2018, Google’s Chrome browser will identify non-HTTPS sites and forms as Not Secure. This can lead to visitors to abandon a web page or website. Additionally, Google has hinted at a small ranking boost to websites that have a secure environment.
3. Mobile-First Indexing
Mobile-First Indexing means that Google will now use the mobile version of your website for indexing purposes. With ranking being more based on the mobile experience, it is important to make sure your website is optimized and mobile friendly.
